Wireless Connectivity Troubleshooting

This knowledge base article covers the steps to take when experiencing trouble with wireless connectivity. 


If you aren’t seeing any wireless networks available, follow the steps below until the issue is resolved

  1. Reboot the PC
  2. Ensure that Airplane Mode is not enabled
  3. Reset the Network Adapter.


To check on Airplane Mode, click on the wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen.


On the pop up, make sure that the button for Airplane mode isn’t enabled or highlighted blue.





To reset the network adapter, click on the Start button and type in Control Panel, then click the result to open.



Once Control Panel opens, make sure that View By Small Icons is selected at the top right, then locate and open Network and Sharing Center.


Click Change adapter settings on the left side of the window to open up the network adapters screen.



Locate the WI-FI adapter and right click it.



Choose Disable from the menu.



Once it finishes disabling the device, right click on the Wi-Fi adapter and choose Enable from the menu.



Congratulations, you've just learned how to reset your network adapter as a part of troubleshooting wireless connectivity issues.
