Setting Up Access to Network Printer

Setting Up Access to Network Printer

This guide will cover how to set up access to a network printer

1. Open File Explorer

2. Click in the file path field and type in the path for the print server that the printers you need to select  are connected to.

3. Once you've typed in the path and hit enter, you will see the printers that are on that server.
(In this example, I'm going to use \\alt-prt which is the print server in Altoona, WI.  It is important to note that you put in the \\ before the server name to navigate there correctly.)

4. Right click on the printer that you'd like to set up and click 'Connect...' . Once you've clicked 'Connect...' , drivers for the printer will be installed and the device will show up in the printers/devices list for the PC.

Congratulations, you've learned how to set up a network printer!
