Exporting and Importing Bookmarks in Google Chrome

This article covers the steps needed to transfer bookmarks from one instance of Chrome to another. 

Exporting Existing Bookmarks

1. Open Chrome and click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner



2. Hover over 'Bookmarks', then click on 'Bookmark Manager'



3.  Click on the 3 dots next to the 'Search Bookmarks' bar and select 'Export Bookmarks'





4. Save the file to your Documents folder to ensure this file is backed up to OneDrive


Importing Existing Bookmarks

1. Open Chrome and click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner



2. Hover over 'Bookmarks', then click on 'Bookmark Manager'



3.  Click on the 3 dots next to the 'Search Bookmarks' bar and select 'Import Bookmarks'





4. Select the file you saved earlier to import the bookmarks
